It is no invention of the present time that men take care of their skin. The Greeks and Romans knew already during the antique age, that one simply feels better with a healthy skin.

Especially with our success-driven lives nowadays, it is more and more important for men as well to care for their appearance - be it as a businessman in a suit or as a craftsman.

Since masculine skin often looks robust and insensitive at first glance, people mistakenly believe that the skin of men does not need any care.

It is a fact however, that masculine skin is actually built exactly like feminine one, with the only difference that the dry and sensitive skin complexion appears more rarely.

Especially the daily shaving constitutes a true strain for the skin, because usually, not only are beard stubbles removed, but the epidermis flakes of the top, protecting skin layer are removed as well.

The skin is therefore irritated quickly and very sensitive. Shaving foams or gels with perfume and aggressive tensids also contribute to irritate and dry out the skin.  The BELICO® CLEANSER II for example is recommendable here, which dries out the skin as little as possible through a particularly mild PEG-free tensid mix. Lipid-replenishing macadamia oil and moisturizing aloe vera contribute to calm the skin right away.

The subsequent treatment with the BELICO® LOTION II alleviates irritation and provides a more relaxed appearance of the skin. Alternatively, melissa and alcohol in the LOTION III have disinfecting properties and specifically help to prevent inflammation and pimples after shaving.

Soothing products should not leave an oily glow on the skin and should simply calm it, especially, when the skin tends to “shaving burn”.

Silver citrate has anti-bacterial properties, and red currant extract has a strengthening effect on the blood capillaries, to prevent visible veins, which can be caused by shaving. A special lipid component does not soften the skin too much to prevent ingrown beard hair.

Many men also tend to suffer from the so-called “Shaving folliculitis”, or the inflammation in the beard area, which is often linked to small pus blisters.  This can be promoted by the transport of bacteria during shaving.

In these cases, the combination with the CONCENTRATE V has proved its worth, which has a wonderful anti-inflammatory effect thanks to the ingredient combination of tea tree oil and propolis.

If there is a tendency to premature skin ageing, it is advisable to apply a combination with the highly effective BELICO®  Anti-ageing products BASIC CARE III or CONCENTRATE I or IV, which are quite easy to apply thanks to the practical dispensers.

Especially when the hands are strained by work, dryness and tears are often the result. Often, one will also find strongly callous hand palms, which is mostly felt to be unpleasant, sometimes even painful.

Through new sugar isomers, which cannot be washed off anymore, the moisture of the skin can be supported and the tendency to irritations can be reduced significantly. The hands become visibly smoother and are protected from drying out and the cold.

In the case of extremely brittle, flaky and calloused spots, the regular use of the intensively moisturizing and softening SPECIAL CARE I can noticeably increase the efficiency. A regularly carried out hand peeling promoted a better ingredient penetration and a maximum treatment success through the removal of dead skin cells.
